Indonesia’s currency is the rupiah, identified by IDR and commonly written Rp. Large-looking numbers in rupiah should always be compared in the same currency: IDR 100,000 cannot be weighed against a USD or Malaysian-ringgit balance by comparing the digits alone. Bank Indonesia manages the national payment and rupiah framework. [1] [3]

For an international account, establish whether IDR is the account’s actual balance currency or only an approximate display. Then compare the requested deposit with the final rupiah debit. The same exercise matters for withdrawals: a payment processor returning another currency can introduce conversion even when the original amount entered on the website was shown in rupiah.
